About Concierge Medicine

What is concierge medicine?

Concierge medicine is a personalized healthcare model where patients pay a membership fee for direct access to their physician. This approach allows for more individualized care, longer appointments, and a stronger doctor-patient relationship.

**How does concierge medicine differ from traditional care?

Unlike traditional healthcare, which can involve long waits and brief appointments, concierge medicine offers same-day or next-day appointments, direct communication with your doctor, and a focus on preventative care.

Membership Details

What services are included in the membership?

The membership covers all services provided by Dr. Kumar & Hannaney, including annual examinations, problem visits, telemedicine visits, and telephone consultations. Procedures are not covered in this fee.

Do you offer discounts or payment plans?

Yes. Members who pay the annual fee in full receive a 10% discount. Additionally, monthly installment plans are available.

Insurance and Billing

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance for our services. However, labs and imaging ordered will be billed to your insurance provider by the lab directly.

Should I keep my insurance?

Yes. While our services are not billed to insurance, your insurance is still necessary for labs, imaging, emergency room visits, hospital-based care, surgeries, medications, and specialist visits.

Patient Eligibility and Care

What age patients do you accept?

There is no defined age limit. However, the practice is tailored for women who have any problems not related to an active pregnancy, as we do not provide obstetric care through this clinic.

Are your doctors board-certified?

Yes. Dr. Kumar and Hannaney are certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Access and Communication

Will it be difficult to see my doctor in a timely fashion?

No. One of the benefits of concierge medicine is improved access to your doctor for visits and telephone calls.

In the event of an emergency, what happens?

In a potentially life-threatening emergency, you should always call 911. However, our doctors will always accept emergent or urgent phone calls to triage the situation and determine the best course of action.​
